We're so used to seeing people’s highlight reels on social media and a lot of times we compare ourselves to the glamorous lives some people have based on what we see online. You know that I'm always transparent with you guys, so today, I'm sharing my day with you and how I'm feeling. I want to share with you all parts of my business and my life and maybe you'll see yourself in my story as well.
But you know what helps me get through all the hardships in life and business? It’s the help of other people. Whether that’s from my team, my family, or my husband most especially.
I know that sometimes asking for help is hard for a lot of us to do but at times, it’s best to get help when things seem overwhelming. Also, after building a multiple 7-figure business, I've learned to harness this self-awareness that allows me to catch these feelings when I’m overwhelmed, when things seem insurmountable. What I've realized is that I have control over my thoughts, my outcomes, and I think that’s very powerful.

[00:00:52] Aloha dreamers and welcome to the Dream Into it Podcast. How are you all doing today? Well, I'll be honest with you, I'm a bit tired this morning. I was deciding whether or not. To get behind this microphone and share with you how I'm feeling. And as always, I always want to be transparent. I want to show you all parts of my business, my life, so that, you know, when you look from the outside, a lot of times we see people's highlight reels.
[00:01:28] And we compare ourselves to that. So the whole point of this podcast for me is to share my story. It's to be transparent with the good, the bad, and the ugly because, with that knowledge, you too can maybe see yourself in that story as well. Be able to relate to my journey where I'm at and hopefully that be able to shine some light on or inspire you in some way.
[00:01:55] So today's episode, honestly, I'm a bit tired. I, as you know, we've still been in a midst COVID, um, fiasco goes, I call it and it's a bit chaotic in business in life. Honestly, I have. So many people in my outsides, you know, I already have four children. Having them home has been a handful. So all you moms out there I'm with you in this.
[00:02:20] And on the days we feel like we don't get it, let's like let's be there for each other and support each other and all you amazing fathers as well. I am a say, aye. I have the tendency as well to not credit my husband as much as I should. You know, we get caught up in all of the data, the things to do and the list, and sometimes taking those times to just stop and say, thank you, goes forgotten.
[00:02:46] And so encourage all of us to maybe take a few minutes to say thank you to the people in our lives who are there supporting us. And. Making all of this possible for me. Um, I wouldn't be able to do any of this, without my team, without my family, without all of the help that I have.
[00:03:05] So that's, that's something I want to share with everyone. It's only because of the health and support of the people around me that I've been able to grow myself, grow my business, take the time that I need, but along that journey as well. I had to learn to ask and receive help. And it's one of the biggest things for me to do.
[00:03:29] I always, if you can relate to my story at all in the back of my head, think, well, I have to do everything because I don't want to burden other people all through these years of going through this process of growing a multimillion-dollar brand, having been a mom. Being a daughter. Who's a very, very, has a very close relationship with my mom.
[00:03:53] So it does require a lot of my time and energy to be there as well. She's one of my, my best friends, my husband too. We've I've been married for 15 years. So all of these journeys at times it does get daunting at times. I think I'm not capable of maybe. Living up to the certain standards that I haven't had and at every moment.
[00:04:18] So just today, for instance, right, I'm getting overwhelmed. Things are breaking in the business, but they're always breaking in the business just on some days, things seem insurmountable, things seem overwhelming. And I've realized through my history and this revolving cycle that I've been learning from and growing through is that when my brain starts feeling overwhelmed when I start almost cycling down this spiral of all the things that are not possible, I can stop myself in my tracks.
[00:04:54] And that's one thing that I just wanted to get behind the microphone today and share with you all that we are in control at every moment that seems out of control. We are the ones creating those stories that are looping in our heads. We are creating the stories of overwhelm. We are creating excuses.
[00:05:17] We are creating the narrative in our life. With intern creates the results that we see. So what do I do with India instances? Well, sooner than I can catch it, the sooner that I can become aware of it and nip it in the bud. And it is, it's hard on your ego. Sometimes you're like, wow. I wasn't being so nice right there.
[00:05:44] Wow. I'm kind of grumpy today. I need to, like, I need a little to check myself at the door and, you know, it's those times of awareness where we might not want to see the ugly parts of ourselves, but it is that. And so that's the story that I'd like to share with all of you, is that everything that we have right here in front of us at every moment we chose that we, we.
[00:06:11] We can change the narrative and not to save that we, you know, that everything in our life that is bad, that we've bought it upon ourselves. This is not, that's not what I'm saying, but what I'm saying is that it's disempowering to think that we are out of control. It's disempowering to think that we have excuses.
[00:06:32] That we don't have time. It's disempowering me to think I don't have the resources. I don't have the time. I don't have the money. I don't have, I don't have all of those. Those things may or may not be true at any given moment because everybody's circumstances are different. I don't think that for myself, I had learned and that those stories were not empowering me in any way.
[00:06:56] So how could I control the narrative? How could I change the thought in my head? How could I change this thought process? And that's what it took to change my beliefs and what I realized at the same time that I changed those beliefs at that exact moment where I thought things were possible. That exact moment that I had thought of belief, I then created a possibility.
[00:07:22] Simultaneously at that moment. And so how much more powerful is that? How much more powerful it is to even when it think where, where it feels like sometimes we're making it up. Like some days feel so overwhelming and so bad that sometimes I do have to like trick me. No, no, it's good. And practice these parts, positive mantras, whatever it is to refocus my brain, to Jessen a glimpse of something better.
[00:07:49] And then we can hang on to that, hang onto that stock with all of that might and slowly things begin to pivot and slowly things begin to shift because right here, right now, I'm sitting here talking to you. Wow. The day started, not so great. I throw my back out two days ago. I sprained my back. I don't even know how you sprain your back, but I'm sitting here with an ice pack strapped to me.
[00:08:17] I'm exhausted. I haven't, you know, I've got kids in my bed constantly. And so I'm, I'm, I'm way beyond tired. I'm not gonna lie. Um, and there's a lot of a plate. And there's a lot of things that need to get done or, you know, I could feel overwhelmed about, but I decided to instead take to talk to you, take this time to step into this power change my frame of mind.
[00:08:45] And I knew if I sat here. And I spoke to you and I gave to you of my heart because, in every moment when we think we don't have something and we're lacking the fastest way to counteract, that belief is to give. And I teach my kids this as well, when it comes to money, when it comes to the time when it comes to anything, we think we don't have enough of the quickest way to change our beliefs around that and our energy that surrounds that is by giving it away.
[00:09:17] And so right now, right here, how, you know, I, I didn't feel like sitting here. I didn't feel like I had any value to give to you in this tired state, but I knew that at any time that I'm suffering or I'm making excuses or I'm feeling bad about myself in some way, I'm too focused on myself because suffering only exists.
[00:09:42] When we're focused on ourselves. So how was I going to change that script? And I don't know, 10, 15 minutes into this podcast right now, talking to you and shining the light in the darkness. I have a smile on my face. I feel more energized. I'm going to be able to go about my day because this value to you that I feel like I'm giving well, It gave back to me.
[00:10:08] I gave back to me and energy and it gave back to me in this bright smile. I don't know how to explain it, but I hope that through this episode, whatever it is that I'm supposed to say has come through. I hope that it's brightened your day just a little bit. And to know that. If today's one of those days where you're not feeling a hundred percent, if you're feeling 10% today, because let's be honest, there are those 10% days while just know that I'm here with you.
[00:10:44] And we are in a position at every single moment in our lives to just change, change our outlook, change our beliefs, change our beliefs around our beliefs. And the results that we see in front of us will slowly begin to shift and I'm living proof of that. And so thank you. All of you, dreamers who tune in on a Friday to listen to our newest episodes.
