December 11, 2016, was finally here. My day had arrived quicker than I had imagined. I was 30 years old. I crossed the finish line of my first full marathon with my hand raised up high over my head realizing that I just accomplished a goal that I set out to do to start this amazing journey ahead of me. I never dreamed of completing a race of this merit. I was never a runner, never considered athletic, and honestly I had no idea I had it in me. The Honolulu marathon was something I would never forget. It was a race to the starting line. A fresh new start bringing me into the world full of possibility. I had a brand new awareness of my stamina, strength, and endurance. I had always possessed these qualities within myself. The difference now was that I was going to start owning these traits and living my life the way I had always imagined. Little did I know I had just completed a race to the starting line of my brand new life journey.
