I am 5 months pregnant with my third in this photo. If you had asked me five years ago that my life would be exactly what it is today, I would have just laughed and thought you were dreaming.

I have always been a dreamer though. What I didn't know then, was that what you envision and go after can actually become your reality.

Exactly one year ago we booked the villa and set out to do what we've been talking about doing for months now. Travel with our children, friends, and parents on a two-month vacation in Bali.

A year ago this seemed impossible. I was a mom of two. My husband and I each had businesses that needed to be run here at home in Hawaii. How would we afford it we thought?

Then I realized, life is only a life if you live it. While our children are growing up so quickly, our parents are growing older before our eyes. With the death of my mom's husband so recent I realized a few things about the current moment. You don't get that time back. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.

At that moment, We booked the villa in Bali a year in advance. I know when you set a goal and take action to move towards it you are that much more likely to make it happen. We started lining up our lives throughout the year to hopefully make this dream come true.

Fast forward to this photo, I found out I was pregnant exactly one month before our trip. We decided to continue moving towards our goal as a family. Needless to say, we made it!

That trip to Bali will always be one for the books. It's times like these when you realize things that can't be put into words.

Life's made up of these small moments, and a collection of these make up a good life. Take the time. Make the time, because one of these days you will wish that you had.

PERFECTLY. IMPERFECT. ALWAYS
